With strict protocols, photos reveal how the return of destinations around the world is being done for post-Pandemic travel

What will my next vacation be like? When will I be able to travel again? What will post-Pandemic travel be like? What does ‘new normal’ mean in the tourism industry? The questions about the new normal arise. With tourist destinations reopening and the flexibility of confinement in different cities around the world, we have separated some pictures that show the security protocols and sanitary reinforcements done by the tourism companies that are already starting this process.

Some aerial stretches are coming back, along with the reopening of borders in different countries where the pandemic has stabilized a little. The prohibition of foreigners coming from high-risk countries is still very limited, in the cases of Brazil, India, the United States, Russia and other countries.

The most common questions at this time are about when we will be able to travel abroad, as well as our curiosity to know how the preparation of destinations and travel companies are doing to get back to business.

Recently, the largest airline in the UAE, Emirates, proposed to bear the costs of customers who require to be quarantined after arriving at one of the destinations where the company operates. The company also offers free medical assistance for Covid-19 cases, to ensure greater safety to their passengers.

In Brazil, the GJP Hotels & Resort chain has developed a partnership with the Sírio-Libanês hospital, one of the largest health references in the country, to align biosafety and hygiene protocols, following hospital standards that were applied in all units of the chain.

LATAM Airlines is operating flights to Portugal again and has reactivated the air network to several other countries, but requires its passengers to have negative tests before boarding, done up to 72 hours before the set arrival time at the destination. All conditions can be found on the Access Restrictions page, published on the company\’s official website.

In Uruguay, even with entering authorization exclusive to residents and natives, until the publication of this article, there is still a 14 days quarantine period requirement for those arriving from abroad. Only foreigners who are not residents, but have temporary entry for work and economic activities may enter the country.

For the bars, entertainment and outdoor activities sectors, changes may also surprise. Restaurants in Amsterdam have opted to have robots waiting tables, some other companies have chosen online menus, through websites or apps. Teddy bears occupy tables, to keep a social distance between customers and much more.
