The symbolic Torres del Paine National Park has some of the most impressive scenery in Patagonia. The reserve is 60km from the chilean city of Puerto Natales and is famous for protecting an important area that concentrates countless glaciers, lakes, waterfalls and mountains that seem to touch the sky. Even though it is an inhospitable and rustic area, the incredible park offers some luxurious hotel options with comfortable rooms and stunning views of the area’s attractions.

Designed on the shores of Lake Gray, the building has modern architecture that interacts naturally with the landscapes of majestic mountains, lakes and woods that surround the structure. The lodging also has a charming boat with seats for 50 passengers, that makes daily sailings (during the summer and fall) to Glacier Gray.

Surprise yourself with breakfast with great amounts of options, in the hotel’s main restaurant and try some typical Patagonian dishes. Among the various available options are delicious cakes, breads, pastries, fruits, cereal and natural juices. The experience is even more enjoyable with the view of the Paine Range in front of you, almost exclusive to the guests. 

All suites have a large window with panoramic views of the park’s mountains and woods that are around Lake Gray. All rooms also have comfortable spaces and are equipped with satellite TV, heating, safe and private bathroom with exfoliants, lotions and moisturizer.

Meals are served in the elegant restaurant with top view to the Paine Grande, the mountain next to Torres del Paine and the beautiful Lake Gray, which is always dotted with gigantic tempanos that break off the glacier. In the menu, there are soups and ceviches as entrances, for the main course you can choose between some options of fish, such as hake and salmon, patagonian lamb and other options that can vary according to certain seasons of the year. To finish, a piece of chocolate ganache combined with calafate (a typical regional spice). Dishes can, and should, be accompanied with a traditional chilean wine or a refreshing and delicious Calafate Sour.

Located in a completely preserved area of ​​Torres del Paine National Park, Hotel Lago Gray is very close to some of the park’s main attractions, which can be accessed by light hiking. The hotel organizes daily departures for two trails that access the beach of Lago Gray, which extends to a gazebo near a cliff, and Mirador Zapata, with an impressive view. Both are already included in the lodging’s price. If you want to explore other areas of the park, it is possible to hire a private transfer service at the tour agency in front of the hotel reception.
